Can Social Media and Networking Increase My Business?

You’ve probably heard about social media marketing networks like Facebook, MySpace (profile), Twitter (profile) and LinkedIn, but have you become involved with any of them? By involved I mean, have you actually taken some time to setup an account/profile and tried to use the network. Have you shared any links, information, pictures and the like?

While MOST people use these social networks to keep tabs on friends and family, they can also be used for business networking. I can tell you from personal experience that you can make great business connections on these networks, which can ultimately help you grow your business or career.

Here’s a quick breakdown on how I use each of the social networks and my participation level on each.

1. Facebook – I have a personal Facebook account, and use it daily to keep up with with old school friends and colleagues in the SEO and Affiliate world.

2. MySpace – We setup a SpeedyPin profile, but rarely–if ever–login to MySpace.

3.Twitter – We setup a Twitter account for SpeedyPin, mostly for branding purposes and to promote our affiliate program. Follow us on Twitter.

4. LinkedIn – I have a personal LinkedIn account, and use it specifically for business purposes. I keep in touch with old business colleagues and connect to new people as I meet them.

Yes, there are other social networks available. However, these are by far the most popular and easy to use. Best of all, you get to choose which social network(s) are right for your needs.

Get social. Get connected. Grow your business!

Why do some phone cards become discontinued?

While we attempt to create a hi-quality, revenue producing line of phone cards, there will be instances in which the cards perceived to be winners simply end up being losers for reasons other than poor performance.

Carriers create phone cards by anticipating usage and profit. They may also incorporate additional fees (e.g. maintenance fees, connection fees) in attempt to make more of a profit. Knowing this, the savvy phone card consumer attempts to discover ways to get maximum usage from a phone card. One such way is to purchase in smaller denominations and burn the card in one call, thereby avoiding the other fees. Thus, the carrier does not receive the additionally anticipated profit. Result… the card is withdrawn. In worse cases, a heavy loss because a carrier to cease business.

Therefore, we must continue to seek alternative products. We’ll do our best to convey these changes to you as promptly as possible!
